To make one of the most aerodynamic endurance bikes ever designed, the carbon frame was shaped through extensive CFD work and testing in the A2 wind tunnel by an engineering team that has developed record-breaking aero designs.

Designed in the Wind Tunnel

The RVR frame was designed by an engineering team with decades of experience crafting the world’s fastest aero road and triathlon bikes and tested in the wind tunnel to ensure it can match the performance of the fastest road racing bikes.

Aerodynamic Shaping

Key aero elements like a chine molded into the bottom of the headtube help capture dirty air and redirect it backward onto the deep-section aero downtube. This keeps airflow attached, passing it smoothly over bottles to reduce drag.

Endurance Road Position

The RVR’s riding position was designed around the maxim that “when you feel good, you perform at your best.” Increased stack and appropriate reach alleviate back strain, sore hands, and upper body fatigue, so you feel fresher and stronger on your longest rides.

Fine-Tuned Comfort

The carbon layup of the RVR frame is fine-tuned to reduce vibration and to take the sting out of long days in the saddle on whatever roads you ride. With ample compliance, it can smooth out the roughest pavement and even venture onto unpaved roads.

34mm Tire Clearance

The RVR provides ample clearance for tires up to 34mm wide to enhance comfort while reducing rolling resistance. It comes stock with 32mm tires, and the fork legs and downtube are also shaped to maximize aerodynamics with wider rubber.

Internal Cable Routing

For the most aerodynamic and modern silhouette, the RVR has gone full-internal. To keep home mechanics from going too crazy, the headtube is designed around the proven FSA Aerodynamic Cable Routing (ACR) system for easier adjustments and maintenance.

Reliable Standards

The future is unknown, so the RVR uses reliable standards. A UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) allows you to easily find replacements. A threaded T47 bottom bracket provides stiffness and easy serviceability for home mechanics.

To mount your OBED bike to a direct drive stationary trainer, follow these steps:

1. Shift into the bike's hardest gear

2. Remove the rear thru axle

3. Remove the rear wheel

4. Place the frame onto the direct drive trainer, ensuring the chain falls onto the cassette and the rear axle dropouts are aligned with the trainer hub end caps.

5. Reinstall the rear thru-axle and tighten.

Notes:

We recommend shifting into the hardest gear before removing the rear wheel to make it easier to remove the rear wheel and position your bike for installation on the trainer.

Mounting a bike to a direct drive trainer is very similar to installing a rear wheel. You may need to swing the rear derailleur back to direct the chain onto the cassette cogs. If you have a rear derailleur with an adjustable clutch, turn the clutch off to be able to articulate the rear derailleur.

Ensure the rear axle dropouts of the frame are aligned with the endcaps on the trainer, and that the chain is properly routed before reinstalling the rear axle and using your direct drive to prevent damage.

Ensure the rear cassette on your direct drive trainer is compatible with your bike's drivetrain to prevent damage. (E.g., you must use a 12-speed Shimano cassette with a 12-speed Shimano drivetrain and a 12-speed SRAM cassette with 12-speed SRAM drivetrains.)
